The objective of all our services is to offer you and your pet the best that is available to solve the presenting problem. Some complex problems, just like with people, need specialist input and we are happy to refer cases when needed or requested.

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' health care needs. Being members of VIN - the Veterinary Information Network - means we have easy access to specialists for advice and support.

Skin Disease: we offer an in depth logical approach to solving your pets' skin and coat problems. We have good diagnostic facilities at hand and the valued assistance of New Zealand's only registered skin specialist Dr Allan Bell when required.

Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. We also regularly refer complex surgeries to either the Veterinary Specialist Group in Pt Chevalier or to Ruth Youmans in Papakura.

Anaesthesia: We utilize the safest available anaesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures with pulse oximeters and capnography.

Radiology Services: Our on-site, ex Auckland Hospital X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders. We can seek specialist radiography opinions from Dr Chris Warman when required.

Ultrasound scanning: We currently refer cases requiring ultrasound diagnostic work as the quality of information depends so much on the quality of the equipment used. The referral clincs who do this for us have high quality expensive equipment for our patients use.

Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.

Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for cytology, slide hematology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We utilize three veterinary laboratories for in depth diagnostics. They provide fast turn-around times and expert involvement in our medical cases. It is just like having a pathologist working along side us.

Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea controls and disease preventatives to meet the needs of your pet.

Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and oral surgery. We have the latest dental equipment in house.

Microchipping: The clinic has been microchipping animals for over twenty years. It is a safe simple procedure which ensures your pet can be accurately identified. We are an New Zealand Veterinary Association Approved Microchipping Clinic- following the standards set down by that organisation.

Individualized Flea Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your garden and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.

Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

Bathing & grooming: Special therapeutic bathing services are available and we groom challenging cats under sedation.

Pet food: We stock a high quality range of super-premium foods for cats & dogs. They are all guaranteed for their palatibility - return the product for full re-imbursement should your pet not happily eat the food.
