Fritz The Cat

Fritz is the clinic bellhop and our very own cat-scan. He keeps a beady eye on everything and everybody. He is often to be found perched on the reception desk watching the patients coming and going. He is fearless and can often be seen staring out even the largest Rottweiler. His name comes from a German vet student who under our directions cared for his damaged left hind foot when Fritz was brought to us thirteen years ago - an injured stray with attitude!!

He has had a sore back recently so be gentle with him if you stroke him. Thanks.

MAREE DICKEY - TEAM LEADER (pic with dog Boomer)

An Australian who married a Kiwi and came to live in New Zealand in 1968 I joined the team at Howick Veterinary Clinic in 1985. I have had Labradors since 1977 which I show and field trial. I have been actively involved in gundog field trials since 1978 being a Championship Field Trial judge and also starred to judge Retrievers at National level. As well as Labradors I own a Jack Russell Terrier, 3 moggies and a Birman, which I have shown successfully. I have a menagerie of chooks which I enjoy breeding and having chooks has lead me to rearing pheasants which I release back into the wild.
