RECEPTION

Each of our  reception  staff is a fully qualified veterinary nurse trained to assess your pet's needs on the phone and to give supportive advice to compliment that of the veterinarian.

CONSULTING ROOMS

We have three consulting/examination rooms  equiped with all the required instrumentation for physical diagnosis and assessment.

DISPENSARY

Safe storage of all our pharmaceuticals together with dispensing equipment and label printing

PREP ROOM

Here patients are anaesthetised, clipped and prepared for surgery. We use isoflurane gas anaesthesia and the level of anaesthesia is monitored carefully.

Surgeon scrubbing up.

OPERATING THEATRE

Surgical procedures take places here in a sterile environment. Patients lie on a special water heated surface to minimise heat loss. The surgeon is assisted by trained surgical nursing staff and risk is minimised by the use of sophisticated monitoring equipment. A pulse oximeter & capnograph are  always attached to the patient and blood pressure monitoring is taken regularly.

RADIOGRAPHY & RADIOLOGY SUITE

We have a high power human x-ray machine previously in use at Auckland Hospital. The costs of investment in such equipment help explain the costs of having 'x-rays' done.  It take very high quality radiographs which can be viewed and assessed on site.

LABORATORY

We send most of our laboratory samples to specialist veterinary laboratories because they not only offer a cost effective and fast service but also the input of a specialist pathologist to help solve your pets problem. In our lab we do cytology, urinalysis, skin fungal & parasite assessment and some basic haematology.

HOSPITAL

Patients stay in spacious cages with comfortable drybeds to lie on. The nursing roster ensures that staff  are constantly working in the hospital room to ensure careful observation & care of all patients.

For longer stay patients we encourage owners to make daily visits.
